Mel Gibson's former girlfriend says actor brandished gun, punched her

As prosecutors are mulling whether to file domestic-violence charges against Mel Gibson, his alleged victim is claiming in a new interview that the actor punched and kicked her and once brandished a gun in front of her.

Oksana Grigorieva, a model and Gibson's ex-girlfriend, alleged in an interview with People magazine that, during one argument, Gibson hit her while she was holding their baby, Lucia.

"I thought he would kill me," Grigorieva is quoted as saying.

Gibson's attorneys have disputed her account in discussions with sheriff's detectives, who recently handed over their case to L.A. County prosecutors.

Sources have told The Times that prosecutors are reviewing that case but are unlikely to move forward until the Sheriff's Department has finished its investigation into claims that Grigorieva or someone close to her was attempting to extort money from Gibson.

The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the case was ongoing, said the cases are heavily intertwined.

No suspect has been formally named in the extortion case, but detectives have interviewed people involved in the couple's messy separation. Officials said they plan to interview two lawyers who represented Grigorieva, but sources said they are not suspects.

Gibson is no angel and has a foul mouth but I think Grigorieva set him up when she discovered getting pregnant and breaking up his marriage didn't yield her the money, fame and lifestyle she had planned for herself. I hope she is found out and deported. This is not the first time she has used powerful men for her own gain.

If Mel was a regular Joe, he would have already had charges against him, been arrested and either bailed out or sitting in lock up. Celebs never have to pay for what they do. Yes, Mel is technically innocent until proven guilty, but come on, those tapes are pretty convincing. In those tapes Mel makes admissions to hitting Oksana by saying"You deserved it" and he also threatens her again. If those tapes are admissible then Mel will have no choice but to plead guilty. No doubt his lawyers will try their hardest to have them not admitted into evidence. In any event regardless of how these charges all pan out the rest of the world now knows who the REAL Mel Gibson is. Like so many domestic abusers he presents one charming facade to the world and keeps his horrible abusive self for his family. My guess is the reason his first marriage finally failed was because his sons grew up and started to stick up for their mother. This often happens in abusive families when the sons finally eject their violent father from the home.

Mel Gibson is an icon, a producer, a director, and a stellar actor. Along with his contributions comes money, power, and fame. This is what attracted this Russian women to him in the first place.

She lured him with beauty, love, and the promise of a traditional nurturing women in a loving relationship offering the kind of values which have been lost with time. She then proceeded to get pregnant. This locked her into Mel Gibson's wallet in the form of 'child support'.

And now she is using this situation to leech as much money out of Mel Gibson as possible while she basks in his reflected glory soaking up attention as the victim. She planned this out using audio tapes; not to show Mel Gibson how he was behaving; but to blackmail Gibson for money and if that did not work; she would use the tapes to press charges and set herself for huge payments and fame as the 'victim' of rich and famous Mel Gibson in the forms of court judgments and child support.

It's Russian chess at it's finest. And make no mistake about it. She never loved Mel Gibson for the person he his on the inside but for his money, power, fame and at best, the genius he has produced for the world.

Regardless of how you feel about Mel Gibson's antics or private outbursts if you listen to the tapes without the prejudice brought on by media sensationalism you will see the result of his behavior is from a relationship where one person is emotionally involved and has given everything - and the other is cold, calculated, and detached who just wanted what she was attracted to in the first place - Mel Gibson's money and fame.

Make no mistake she will play this situation for everything she can to extract as much money as possible from Mel Gibson. I believe Mel Gibson when he said in the tapes he had spent millions of dollars on her. And she is not to be pitied or held in any regard as a 'victimized' women whatsoever.

This is just another perfect example of why most men, and especially rich and famous men should never allow emotionally give themselves over in mind and spirit to any women whatsoever. And that goes double if she speaks Russian.

He is Mel Gibson. He can have any women he wants no matter how many or how young. But he wanted long term monogamous relationship with true love. And this, is how he is repaid.

If Mel Gibson was a "regular Joe" as someone posted, LE would NOT be investigating this at all. They would have sent the woman packing or arrested her for illegally recording someone else without their knowledge. It is only because the Oksana released/or allowed the release of the recordings and ROL and the rest of the media sensationalized them that LE enforcement became involved. Before then, the recordings were under court seal.

She waited 6 months to release them. She waited until mediation didn't pay out what she thinks she deserves. Her PR onslaught is vindictive and self-serving. Mr. Gibson wanted to take care of his daughter and also spend time with her. The nerve of him! Ms. O wants control and $$$.

Unbelievable. Suddenly she has a memory flashback of something that in anyone else's life would be an unforgettable traumatic occurrence but suddenly after all these months she comes up with this new bit of information. She has zero credibility as far as I am concerned. And as for her comments about Timothy Dalton being a quiet man, he probably just wants to keep as far away and out of the mind of this leech as he can.

I hope Mel gets custody of the child. I don't think he would hurt a child and I don't think that he ever did anything to his own children or wife Robyn. I do think he went through the most extreme form of midlife crisis meltdown when the man kicks the "older" woman to the curb and gets the "trophy" woman to show off. For this indiscretion, I wish he would have acted more mature for his age.

Their is court Order restraining her from talking and leaking evidence. She has done nothing but mock our justice system, use our courts, our detectives, and our tax dollars .

I'm disgusted that a judge, who said on the record that she found Oksana, "disengeous, at best", then increased child support to 20k a month plus a huge house, car, insurance, utilities, and attorneys fees over 200k.

The courts, detectives, her PR people, even her own attorneys know of her greed inspired lies. Two PR firms and over 7 attorneys have quit

Throw her in jail, then deport her.
