Authorities arrested 11 people, seized marijuana and confiscated $20,000 in cash during a series of raids Wednesday across several Southern California counties.

Search warrants were served at 16 locations in Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange and San Diego counties as part of an effort to crack down on the sale of marijuana and related products, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

Deputies from the department took part in the operation with local law enforcement agencies and federal and state agents.

Among the items seized were 78 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $234,000 and 4,000 packaged food products laced with the drug worth an estimated $24,000.
