LAPD declares tactical alert in Watts [Updated]

The Los Angeles Police Department declared a tactical alert in Watts on Thursday  after a call for assistance from officers at the scene of a shooting near 114th and Grape streets.

[Updated at 6:19 p.m.: More than 50 police cars have responded to the scene to help control an unruly crowd that gathered after the shooting, the LAPD said.]

The LAPD  said it was unclear whether any officers were involved in the shooting or whether anyone was injured.

The shooting occurred near the Imperial Courts housing projects. The alert was declared shortly after 5 p.m.

No other details were available.

they shoud do some thing about that hood 2 much goig on there

there is a real story and then there is the story they tell the public. i wonder when the two stories will ever be the same???
it's interesting to watch the cops in the hood....and then how they act for the camera....

If what the register nurse saying is true about the cops not allowing her to help the kid then some thing is really wrong with the LAPD cause they did the same thing to the Hollywood shooter they stood by and watch him bleed to death who made the LAPD judge jury exicutioner.
