20 illegal immigrants arrested in Orange County beach landing

Border agents arrested 20 illegal immigrants Tuesday morning who were attempting to enter the country by sea at Calafia State Beach in San Clemente.

When the small craft the immigrants were riding in land landed, the occupants attempted to flee. Agents with the U.S. Border Patrol arrested 17 men and three women, all from Mexico.

A 36-year-old woman suffered a broken leg while jumping from the boat, according to a statement from the U.S. Border Patrol in San Diego. She was taken to a hospital for treatment. The others were taken to a Border Patrol station for processing.

No further details were immediately available, but the Associated Press said the incident occurred about 3 a.m.

I though illegal immigration was declining. This is a daily thing now on OC beaches.

Good job boys. Round 'em up and head 'em ALL back to where they belong.

There goes some well spent tax money.

Never fear our traitor of a president will set them free and punish the agents. Thats how it works in this country if your here illegaly you have more rights and benifits then if you were born here. Obamie the commie for 2012!!!!

i wish i were in another country,i wish i hada gone to France years ago,

At least we caught these people. Problem is, they will try again and again and will eventually make it.......and eventually become yard maintenance workers or construction helpers working for unethical construction companies, will take what they earn and send back to Mexico, will expect free medical and food stamps, and will wear " 100% Mexican " t shirts, and will protest for immigration acceptance. It is the fault of their very corrupt home land and liberal America. Our fore fathers would role over in their graves if they could see us know.

It's about time to further secure the border. The illegals will surely grab the opportunity to cross the border especially at times of winter season due to it's foggy climate. They will take advantage on it. Bring dogs to help in guarding the border area. Dogs are more susceptible in sensing strangers as far as our sense could perceive. Stay on guard, I believe there are a lot more to come.

The Border Patrol and ICE need to cover every little nook and cranny into this state. We need some population control.

That is now the second boat in a weeks time to land with 20 plus immigrants in my town. OBAMA how dare you say we have a handle on things. If these fools were rolling up on your front lawn you too would be outraged!

Would these illegals be allowed to remain in the U.S., because they have not committed a serious crime or are they deported immediately?

Probably already released on their own recognizance since they "promised" to appear at their immigration hearings!
In France the government talks about raising the retirement age, there is a huge general strike with 450,000 people protesting out in the street.
Here, the government ships out jobs and factories for thirty years, lets in tens of millions of legal and illegal immigrants to destroy wages, and still nothing happens.
The unemployed are steered to government sanctioned diploma mills to train for non existant "good jobs" with a resulting student load debt, public and private, of $829 billion.
Amazing!

Where's Obama to sue these Border Patrol agents for violating the civil rights of these poor illegal immigrants? A local hospital will now provide thousands of dollars worth of care for the woman who broke her leg & then the government won't reimburse the hospital, yet Obama will do what he can to make sure the woman is not deported ... as she is simply looking for a better life here, by taking the job of an American who is willing to do the same thing ... OH, and not pay any worker-taxes for the under-the-table wages she earns.

you should move to france

Why the double standard with illegals from Cuba vs anywhere else? Ilegally entered Cubans would have been allowed to stay once they hit U.S. shores. Isn't it time to revisit that archaic, no longer relevant policy?

Sweet. If they do not have proper documentation, which they won't, they will be held and transported back to Mexico. I love seeing those buses heading South

Most of us would be better off working and living on a commune without all the headaches of trying to maintain a rediculous housing vs. wage lifestyle. On the other hand we are blessed to be living in the era that we are. It is just that we are conditioned to follow life's guidelines that have been immersed unto us. What a shame folks from Mexico have to go through this, as well as the USA having to worry about it.

Well lets see. 20 were caught, but the 100 more, coming in several hours behind them, all arrived safely and without incident. Hrrmmm,, whats wrong with this picture.... where is Don Johnson when you need him or Jeff Fahey, or even Robert DiNero?

Say what you want you want, but got to admire their tenacity

MORE ILLEGALS!

It will NEVER end because DemocRats have their future voters...

I'm sure the woman that broke her leg will be able to sue the Border Patrol, and win, and gain amnesty for the rest of the illegals.

Probably already released on their own recognizance since they "promised" to appear at their immigration hearings!

This situation is out of control. Shoot to kill if anyone tries to come here illegaly, maybe that will send a message that we are sick and tired of illegals entering our country with absolutely no respect for our people and laws.

if it wasnt because of invasion of the land by German, english and the rest of the world these people would not be illegal.
only ignorant people and uneducated are in denial.

Reply to aron: " Dogs are more susceptible in sensing strangers as far as our sense could perceive"
I didn't realize that animals could sense the differences in nationalities. So if I'm following your plan correctly these dogs will be trained to know legalized Americans as "friends" and everyone else as "strangers"? Pretty interesting stuff.

wow 20!but how many got by you?
