Lindsay Lohan under investigation for possible drug use

Less than a month after exiting court-ordered rehab, authorities are investigating allegations that actress Lindsay Lohan has taken drugs, according to three sources familiar with the case.

The sources, who spoke on the condition that they not be named because the case is ongoing, said that law enforcement officials were trying to determine whether Lohan failed a court-ordered drug test. They stressed the investigation is ongoing and said no official determination has been made that she did take illicit drugs.

One source told The Times that the judge and prosecutor in the case have received "unofficial" word of the investigation.

If Lohan failed a drug test, a court hearing would be held and Lohan could be sent back to jail. Just a few weeks ago, Lohan talked of turning her back on drugs and getting back to acting.

"I want my career back," she told Vanity Fair magazine. "I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It's not fun anyway."

Lohan, who spent 13 days at a Lynwood jail for violating her parole on a drunk driving case, told the magazine she's learned she needs to stop surrounding herself with people who lure her into trouble.

"So many people around me would say they cared for the wrong reasons," she told the magazine. "A lot of people were pulling from me, taking from me and not giving. I had a lot of people that were there for me for, you know, the party."

Lohan continues to undergo intense therapy and counseling since her release from the UCLA rehab facility. She is on supervised probation in connection with her 2007 driving under the influence conviction. She must take random drug tests twice weekly. If she misses a test or gets a positive result, she would face 30 days in jail.

The key words are "could" "might face". She got off easy. First, I don't even believe that jail or rehab is going to fix an addict. You have to be determined to beat it. It's too easy to fall back into, and for reasons only an addict can understand, the consequences are no matter. I worked in that environment, and I've seen it so many times. It's bewildering. There is no understanding it. Even the addict doesn't understand it. Otherwise it would be easy. It's too bad for LL. But it's too bad that anyone in this situation is wasting their life away. Gee, I am waiting to be asked to write for these on-line news sites. ;-)

She's not the best actress in town and the industry is having a hard time getting her insured for any projects...but the girl wants to get high. It's her career and her life. Leave her alone and let her do what she wants to do.

Well now I'm just upset. I can't believe something like this would ever happen.

Oh wow! What a shock! I would never have guessed that she would use drugs again. Right. She needs a looooong lockup to get her act together. This time, I hope they throw the book at that spoiled little brat.

Quote: "I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies."

What respect ?

News flash: Young lady, you have never done a great movie, and I don't think a director would /should touch you with a 10 foot pole for a great role either. Too much drama, and too much risk

6 months more jail time, NO early out if this is true. She will not wise up until she suffers more because of her twisted thinking she will always get off with a slap on the wrist.

I have morphed into Megan Foxx

So she tests positive. She does a couple weeks in jail and hits the streets again. The bimbo owns the judicial system, it appears. Anyone with a SAG card does.

Lindsey Lohan's widely publicized arrests harmed her career more than the drugs. Ironically, we may legally buy substances more damaging to the body and society than Lindsay's drugs. As long as tobacco and alcohol are consumed freely, government and law enforcement will operate in the shadow of hypocrisy. But tobacco and alcohol will remain freely available as long as they provide the tax dollars government and law enforcement need to maintain the power to punish the lesser evils of marijuana, which causes less physical harm than most pharmaceuticals. There is no recorded death by overdose on marijuana. Free adults have the right to make decisions concerning themselves. Our government has taken that right from us. As one California Republican famously said, "Get Big Government off our backs."

Any film or show she is involved in -- Is a something I am not going to watch including the upcoming machette...

Tired of her act!

SHE'S NEVER GOING TO LEARN!!! Actions speak louder than words!!!

WOW, What a SHOCKER!! Good thing I was sitting down when I read the headline, otherwise, I would've fainted at this Revelation....

Okay. Let me get this straight. Lindsey Lohan's court ordered drug test may be dirty. Okay, okay, I have stopped laughing, no for real. Okay I've stopped now. Why is anyone surprised that she is dirty once again. Remember when your parents gave you a slap on the wrist with a warning. You committed the offense again, right. Well I know I did. But when my my mama beat my behind I knew she meant business. Ms. Lohan needs a good old fashioned ass whipping in the form of some serious jail time and serious rehab. Not this cotton candy stuff that some folks go through. It is apparent that she does not realize that fat meat is greasy. I only hope she gets help before she kills somebody or herself. Lawd have mercy.

Sobriety is tougher than it sounds. To all the sanctimonious people who are trashing Lindsay - You would find it just as difficult, and most of you would FAIL.

Of course, most of us would never be drunks or addicts in the first place. But once you're hooked, it's clear that "just say No", and incarceration doesn't work. Stop being a hater, and help look for solutions.

Sheesh...what a waste of my hard earned dollars to go chasing people around for drug use. I only care if they steal from people to get their drugs or if they're driving around high as a kite. If they can afford it, what the hell do I care? Treat drugs as a health issue and empty out the prisons for real criminals. Legalize drugs and use my hard earned tax dollars for schools and roads and all the other things we lack. What a waste.

i love how we are talking about lindsay lohan and her drug use...but like 5 comments on here bring up race...get over it..lol..you cant compare some illegal who is threatening people's lives with a knife all drunk on the street to some bimbo who goes to night clubs and does blow..lol..check yourself...if that dude threatened me with a knife that night he wouldnt have needed the popo to shoot him..i would have taken him out myself.

as for lindsay...lock her and her mother up...then when she gets out and needs cash she can do Freaky Friday 2

1. The judge got hoodwinked into sending Lindsey to a psychiatric hospital rather than a treatment center. They could not keep her once she was diagnosed and determined to not be a threat to self or others. It was unethical of UCLA not to explain what they would do since the judge's sentence made it clear what she had in mind. But, hey, a buck's a buck in the medical business.

2. Lindsey just isn't ready to be straight. Just take her driver's license for 10 years to protect the public and let her do what she's gonna do.

Seriously who cares ? If she has a weak mind and can not control her addictions or even control herself ? She knows better. If she really wanted to not do those things , then she would not. The brain is a very powerful squishy thing.

Oh no...........here we go again!

Part of her problem is that she keeps blaming everything and everyone EXCEPT herself. Only she can make herself get better and only if she wants to. Until then, nothing they do to her will help. Therefore, she should be doing time just like the rest of us non-hollywood types would.

Taking Cocaine recreational IS NOT ADDICTION!

lindsey can afford treatment if she is serious judge!

The courts should get half of her income because they are making her more famous. You owe our county a commisiion Lindsey!!!!!!!

Once a junkie always a junkie.
