Lindsay Lohan under investigation for possible drug use

Less than a month after exiting court-ordered rehab, authorities are investigating allegations that actress Lindsay Lohan has taken drugs, according to three sources familiar with the case.

The sources, who spoke on the condition that they not be named because the case is ongoing, said that law enforcement officials were trying to determine whether Lohan failed a court-ordered drug test. They stressed the investigation is ongoing and said no official determination has been made that she did take illicit drugs.

One source told The Times that the judge and prosecutor in the case have received "unofficial" word of the investigation.

If Lohan failed a drug test, a court hearing would be held and Lohan could be sent back to jail. Just a few weeks ago, Lohan talked of turning her back on drugs and getting back to acting.

"I want my career back," she told Vanity Fair magazine. "I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It's not fun anyway."

Lohan, who spent 13 days at a Lynwood jail for violating her parole on a drunk driving case, told the magazine she's learned she needs to stop surrounding herself with people who lure her into trouble.

"So many people around me would say they cared for the wrong reasons," she told the magazine. "A lot of people were pulling from me, taking from me and not giving. I had a lot of people that were there for me for, you know, the party."

Lohan continues to undergo intense therapy and counseling since her release from the UCLA rehab facility. She is on supervised probation in connection with her 2007 driving under the influence conviction. She must take random drug tests twice weekly. If she misses a test or gets a positive result, she would face 30 days in jail.

only 30 days in jail? Fine, but put her in with the general population, not in some area away from the real criminals, after all with her track record she's no better than the rest of them!

isn't this kind of a "Dog Bites Man" story at this point? Slow news day I guess...

Supriiiise, suprise.

UNBELIEVABLE THE POLICE AND THE COURTS HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO? THIS IS WHERE OUR TAX DOLLARS ARE GOING? CHASING LINDSAY LOHAN AND PARIS HILTON? SHOOTING KNIFE WIELDING DRUNKS? AND THEN CALLING THEM NAMES LIKE CELEBS AND ILLEGAL ALIENS?

Oh Lindsay, I hope this story is not true. They let you out of jail AND rehab early. If you need help, get it. But please don't fall back into self destruction.

1. NOT a surprise.
2. WHO CARES?

TMZ is reporting results positive for cocaine.

UCLA said she was clean though.

What?
They were wrong?

She IS an addict?

GASP!

..."I dint do it"..."Yada yada yada"..."Im sorry"..."Blah blah blah"..."I wont do it again"...

CLICK, CLICK. Them's the 'cuffs, Lindsay!

Big surprise!

"People who lure her into trouble"? Has she never heard or learned how to use the word, "NO!"? What a pathetic waste of life these Hollyweird types are. They have everything going for them and still have to resort to drugs an blame it on others. Never take responsibility for their own actions, get special treatment from the justice system because they are "celebrities", then wonder why the public has no sympathy for them. They are no more special that I am and should be treated the same way.

Poor girl , maybe she needs a new crowd of friends. A friend who will be there when she is down and needs someone to listen , someone who will guide her in the right direction instead of the party scene.
I hope she can get herself together and get her life back on track. She is a good actress and I have enjoyed watching her movies and it is just sad seeing her go through this over and over again.

hey i care and iwould totally hang out with her to keep her in line

YAWN....

Why is it that nothing is ever mentioned about the SOURCE of these drugs that the celeb allegedly uses.

From whom do they obtain drugs? What is the cost? Do they use actual MONEY? Credit cards? Are the drugs GIFTS?

Point being, there is a market and a marketeer.

OK. I'll be the first to comment on this non-news story. This girl doesn't belong in jail. She belongs in a hospital with bars on the windows.

Back to making great movies??? LOL. Name one-Freaky Friday? Parent Trap? Now those are REAL Oscar contenders. LOL.

"......And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It's not fun anyway." YOU GO GIRL! Those are the first intelligent words I have seen quoted from Lindsay. Now I have a reason to respect her person a bit..... Just a bit though, what her personal vices and addictions have no bearing on how her image is-- the way she presents herself to the public and what "public" decisions she makes her reputation.

Back to the slammer you go

How is this broad going to learn anything when they only punish her with 13 days of jail time? All this money wasted on prosecutors, courts, cops etc... on a person who will constantly have a free pass through our so-called judicial system.

Oh and she says ""I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies"

Name one.

I'm sure she's shaking in her boots...I'm sure she's learned that if the sentence is 30 days, she'll serve...what...like 3 hours~!

Ohhhh...scarey!

Here we go again. Reminds me of all the episodes with Robert Downey Jr. back in the 90's.

why do so called 'stars' get so many chances? lock her up and forget about her!!

And this is a surprise?

Another joke in the legal system; she makes money for connected people in Hollywierd - young Mexicans and Blacks DO NOT......so they go to prison while Low-Han goes on TV.
