FBI seeks leads on the 'Balding Bandit' bank robber

The FBI and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were seeking the public's help Tuesday in identifying a bank robber dubbed the "Balding Bandit."

The man robbed a bank in La Mirada on Tuesday and has been tied to two other bank robberies in that city since May, the FBI said. Balding Bandit

The suspect is described as having a receding hairline and small beard, and during some of the robberies has been unshaven and wearing sunglasses, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said. The man passed a note to tellers demanding cash and saying that he had a weapon.

Authorities said the robberies occurred at Chase Bank on May 14 and July 23, and at Banco Popular on Tuesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI 24-hour tip line at (888) CANT HIDE.

He has his bare hands on the counter. Didn't they think to brush fro prints?

Hey DG3, call up the FBI and tell them that. I'm sure they never thought of that. Bet they will catch him by tomorrow morning with your help.

DG3, my thoughts exactly. He looks like someone I met though, but they often do.
