Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detectives plan Friday to reveal details into last week's violent kidnapping of a woman whose throat was cut and left for dead near Victorville.

Deqiang Song, 24, was arrested a week ago for allegedly trying to collect ransom from the woman’s father in San Gabriel.

He has been charged with kidnapping and attempted murder, said Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

The woman remains hospitalized.
