Bench warrant issued for Lindsay Lohan, probation revoked

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/.a/6a00d8341c630a53ef0133ee581cc7970b-800wi

A bench warrant has been issued for Lindsay Lohan after she tested positive for drugs, but court officials said she won't be taken into custody until at least Friday after a court hearing.

Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Eldon Fox will decide at that time whether Lohan violated her probation and should be sent back to jail or back into locked-down drug rehab. The L.A. County Probation Department delivered its report on the alleged violation to Fox -- and her probation was revoked.

Lohan admitted on her Twitter feed that she failed the test. "Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result," she wrote. "This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences."

Lohan spent part of the summer in an L.A. County jail in Lynwood after repeatedly violating the terms of her probation on a drunk-driving charge. She was released from a rehab center a few weeks ago.

Under the terms of her sentence, if she misses a test or gets a positive result, she would face 30 days in jail.

Lohan continues to undergo intense therapy and counseling since her release from a UCLA rehab facility. She is on supervised probation in connection with her 2007 conviction for driving under the influence.

As part of her plea arrangement, she must take random drug tests twice a week. After her most recent stint in jail, Lohan had said she was trying to get back to acting.

She told Vanity Fair that her jail stint taught her that she needed to stop surrounding herself with people who lure her into trouble.

"So many people around me would say they cared for the wrong reasons," she told the magazine. "A lot of people were pulling from me, taking from me and not giving. I had a lot of people that were there for me for, you know, the party."

Celebs can do what they want. She's been caught with coke twice, and had so many other charges but she gets out early from jail, and out early from rehab. Letting her get off all the time is going to kill this woman.

Make her stay in the joint for 6 months in a rehab facility. She's a mess.

They should just lock her up and throw away the key!!!

Until Judge Fox is removed from the Lohan case no justice will be served. There is something questionable going on here between Lohan and Judge Fox.

Buh bye!

until you stop your narcissistic thinking, and blaming everyone and everything for your behavior, you wont get better. you, can only be the only one to stop using. no meetings, jail, will stop you, unless you decide. her mom is an enabler also, and that doesnt help.

i dont think dried cheese sandwiches in ad seg must be fun...... bend over and cough twice is laugh riot also....

What do you expect! Lohan didn't complete her 90-day rehab. Lohan doesn't need jail time...no drug abuser does, but she needs to complete the whole rehab program. There's no excuse why she should have been allowed to leave rehab early.

Our judical system is becoming a joke. Lohan needs to be in jail just like anyone else. But, no the judge's lack integrity and play far too many games. Now, I can see why friends and co-workers do not show up for jury duty.

Are we wasting tax money by locking her up? Can't we just deport her to an island far away?

Well one thing I will say. Lindsey to a point is getting special treatment. Because she got a DUI not an original drug conviction her probation is exaclty the same as one who has a drug conviction. Every non violent inmate in LA county jail serves about 10% of their time. So no surprise she didnt do much, between LA and Riv kicking out most of their inmates early its a wonder how society is going to hell in a handbasket. The only way to gaurantee shell serve any amout of time is to go to prison for the minimun of 16 months with half. Even with her credit she would do about 7 months gen pop no special treatment, in either 2 of the most notorious and dangerous female prisons in the country. VSPW or CCWF. And for anyone to say its just a misdemeanor no matter the misdemeanor so may probation violations gets you a 16 month sentence up at chowchilla. So hopefully the judge can see this and send her. There is a substance abuse program on the "yard" that is mandatory for drug and alcohol offenders and there is aa/na and shed share her "cell" with 7 other woman. They dont seperate based on crime so shed get a true picture of where her life will lead her. She will have one on one time with other "victims" of drug abuse who are 20 and look like 40, have lost most of their teeth hair and sometimes common sense. Maybe that will be her wake up call for good.
