101 closed after big-rig crash sparks fire
A fiery big-rig crash shut down all northbound lanes of the 101 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles early Thursday morning.
The driver of the rig said he was in the far right lane early Thursday when someone cut him off. He swerved to avoid a collision, and the truck's diesel tanks struck the center divider, causing a fire, he said.
As of the early morning, all lanes had been shut down just past the 110 Freeway while fire crews worked to put out the flames.
The southbound lanes also were closed but were reopened shortly before 5 a.m.

This big rig driver should be cited for reckless driving. He/she should be sent back to driving school to learn not to react carelessly by swerving just to avoid another driver's error. If he stayed on his lane and just allowed the other vehicle to hit his/her big rig then it would have inconvenienced just both of them instead of thousands of other commuters. Now look what happened, the other driver is probably in his/her bed sleeping soundly while this over reacting big rig driver is in a mess.
