Woman accused of attacking Leonardo DiCaprio to stand trial

A woman who attacked Leonardo DiCaprio with a broken beer bottle was ordered to stand trial Thursday.

Aretha Wilson, 40, is accused of attacking DiCaprio with a broken beer bottle outside a 2005 party, leaving him with a bruised and bloodied face. Wilson, a Canadian citizen, was recently extradited to the United States to face charges.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Edmund Willcox Clarke Jr. found there was sufficient evidence for Wilson to face a trial for assault.

The actor suffered injuries to his neck and face during the attack.

Earlier this year, a judge ordered Wilson to stay away form DiCaprio.

I'm NOT a DiCaprio fan, BUT.... I'm glad to see that this woman will stand trial for this assault. Many of us in society often think how great Celebrities have it, and many of them do. But what we don't realize is that they deal with a TON of crazy people we do NOT have to deal with, because we live in anonymity. Look at Paris Hilton being woken up this past week by a knife carrying man. Think about the poor actress from the show "MY SISTER SAM" in the early '90's , who was KILLED by an overzealous fan. Crazy people like this model from Canada need to be taught a lesson about behaving yourself and treating celebrities with the same regard that treat anyone else.

I don't understand people and their actions these days. What is wrong with everyone? Leave the guy alone and I think he is a fine actor he has come a long ways. Leave the man alone geeeeez.

She looks familiar . . .

Hmm, Whoville . . . that's it!

She's from Whoville, right?
