August 24, 2010 | 11:59 am

Now, your iPhone can help you browse the Hollywood Walk of Fame while you’re on it.

Hollywood Star Walk iPhone app The Los Angeles Times has launched a new Walk of Fame database application for iPhones that allows users to access The Times’ extensive library of information on the more than 2,000 stars that dot the fabled stretch of Hollywood Boulevard from La Brea Avenue to Gower Street and up and down Vine Street.

The app allows users to call up mini-biographies on the stars and browse them alphabetically or by block. They also can use it to make custom tours of the stars they want to see.

The Times has compiled several lists of stars thematically -- bad boys and girls, bombshells, classic Hollywood hunks, for example.

Or users can simply stand on the Walk of Fame, point their iPhones and let the app guide them.

In addition to the Walk of Fame app, the Los Angeles Times has a general app for iPhones.
