Today on PolitiCal: Boxer-Fiorina a tossup. Feinstein just says no. California hearts Obama

Here are some of the stories we're following Tuesday on PolitiCal

Barbara Boxer's reelection bid is now officially considered a tossup by Congress-watchers in Washington.

A new poll shows Californians still approve of the job Barack Obama is doing as president, even though he gets mixed reviews on his handling of the economy and the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

The state's largest public employee union has made its contract offer to the Schwarzenegger administration.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein added her voice to those opposed to Proposition 19, the measure that would legalize marijuana in California.

Plus: Stay tuned for the latest twists and turns in the political drama in San Diego and Riverside counties, where a recount is underway to decide a contested Democratic state Senate primary.

So, I guess I won't be voting for Dianne Feinstein again!

I see prop 19 as a turning point in California politics. I will not vote for any candidate who does not support prop 19 and I will vote for anyone who does support prop 19. I don't think my vote will change the election results, but I do want to make a point.

Just for once I would like to know just who these pollesters are questioning.
California hearts O'bama?? You gotta be kidding me!

Reagan was right,and that generation that lets slip our freedoms into the archives of tragic history could well be ours. We have a civic duty and moral obligation in this country to challenge our elected officials. The day we do not, we may as well burn the Constitution and line up at the Socialist Food Mart, because that is where they, the government will take us. (Joe the Plumber)

Another reason I will not be voting for DiFI when she is up for reelection.

I second what Charles had to say, with the exception that I do believe that my vote will make a difference. Anyone who votes against prop 19 plays into the hands of mexican drug cartels, who make billions of dollars from keeping this harmless, yet illegal, weed in steady supply for everyone. I'd much rather see the money made from taxing marijuana, and all the new business that will emerge from the passing of prop 19, benefit Californians.

@Charles

Ya got to do what you got to do...best of luck to you guys in November, the rest of the country is watching with fingers crossed. They say that whatever happens in California eventually happens everywhere.

I don't "heart" Obama.

Just the opposite.
