Today on PolitiCal: Brown tries to shore up Latino vote. Polls tighten in Boxer-Fiorina race.

In an effort to shore up Latino support, Jerry Brown criticized Meg Whitman today for saying one thing to English-speaking voters and other to Spanish speakers.

A new poll shows a tight race between Barbara Boxer and Carly Fiorina, with Boxer's negative numbers on the rise. 

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill that requires sex offenders to stay away from their victims. 

Schwarzenegger also repeated his call for pension reform Thursday, saying again that he would not sign a state budget without changes to the state's pension system.
