Bandit with skateboard hits second San Diego bank

Skateboardbandit A San Diego bank robber who carries a skateboard struck Friday for the second time, according to FBI officials.

Authorities said the man dubbed the Skateboard Bandit held up a Wells Fargo branch in the Torrey Highlands neighborhood. 

FBI officials believe the same individual robbed the Comerica Bank on the edge of Old Town on July 12.

In both cases, the robber demanded money from a teller after displaying a handgun. He put the money in his backpack and left.

The man is described as in his late 20s or early 30s, 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 11, about 160 pounds, and was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and a green paisley bandana.
