Moreno Valley girl, 17, may have been abducted
A 17-year-old Moreno Valley girl who disappeared on her way home from summer school Thursday may have been abducted, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department investigators.
Norma Lopez vanished on her way home from Valley View High School. Sheriff’s detectives found some of her personal items in a dirt field that she often uses as a shortcut on her way home.
Investigators believe Lopez was taken against her will by someone driving a newer model green sport utility vehicle, which was spotted speeding from the area.
Lopez is described as 5 feet 7, 110 pounds, with brown, shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a white, horizontal stripe sleeveless shirt with a floral pattern and black “skinny" jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Riverside County sheriff’s dispatch center at (951) 776-1099. More information is available at http://www.riversidesheriff.org/press/mvs10-0715-1.asp.
