Deputy shoots a man in Lakewood

A Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy shot and wounded a man in Lakewood on Saturday.

The shooting occurred at 5:31 p.m. on the 4200 block of Deeboyar Avenue, said Deputy Bill Brauberger, a sheriff's department spokesman. The victim was taken to a local hospital and had not died, he said.
