Death of fugitive porn actor captured in disturbing video

Disturbing video has emerged showing the death of a porn actor who police said went on a stabbing rampage at a video production company last week that killed a fellow adult film actor and wounded two other people.

Stephen Clancy Hill, 34, appeared to take his own life Saturday in front of numerous news cameras after a long standoff with police in which he repeatedly threatened suicide.

He spent about eight hours on the edge of a rocky cliff in West Hills surrounded by police and talking to crisis negotiators.

With dusk approaching and Hill continuing to threaten to kill himself, members of the Los Angeles Police Department's elite SWAT unit tried to subdue and apprehend him, using a less-than-lethal weapon, said Deputy Chief Kirk Albanese, who oversaw the incident.

Hill, however, threw himself over the cliff at 5:30 p.m. Waiting paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead from the injuries he suffered in the roughly 50-foot fall.

Albanese declined to discuss details of the weapon police used and the plan that had been devised to capture Hill, citing the internal investigation that is launched after every serious use of force by officers. It was unclear whether the projectile that officers fired had struck Hill or missed.

"He was bent on taking his own life," Albanese said. "It's very unfortunate. We wanted this to end a different way."

Here is video from KTLA. Warning: The video is graphic in nature, showing Hill fall to his death.

What a loser! Even died like a wuss.

Glad he saved us all a lot of work and money by taking himself out.

Let's see. He is perched precariously on a cliff and the cops tase him and he falls off. The police tase him while he is on the edge of a cliff? Really? I can't be the only one that thinks tasing the guy was counterproductive.

WHY WOULD I WANT TO WATCH THIS? IS IT BAD ENOUGH THAT THIS GUY JUMPS OFF A CLIFF YOU GOT POST THE VIDEO ON HERE? THE ONLY REASON TO WATCH THIS IS SICK. WATCHING PEOPLE DIE IS NOT ENTERTAINMENT NOR IS IT NEWS NOR IS IT INFORMATIVE. ANYBODY WHO THINKS OTHERWISE IS SICK AND SO IS THE LA TIMES FOR POSTING IT. JUST BECAUSE IT HAPPENED DOESN'T MEAN IT'S NEWS.

As to the above post, no you aren't the only one who viewed use of the
taser as a questionable tactic given that they had him surrounded/cornered.
But then again, did you read recently about the off duty L.A. Sheriff's Deputy and his buddy, an off duty prison guard who abducted a 25 year old girl from a mall and raped her? Two cops raping a girl and one used his "service weapon." Cops are mostly bully sadists at heart. They have to pretend to be normal.

C'mon, the LAPD officer tased him and he went off the cliff. You can see the taser line go down with the body.

I was very disappointed on that man,he is absolutely crazy..!!Why would he do that very scary thing?my goodness..!!Nice post..!!Thanks for sharing this one..
