Charlie Sheen's Mercedes takes a tumble: Take 2

A car belonging to actor Charlie Sheen was found in a ditch off Mulholland Drive, marking the second time this has happened in less than 5 months. For the second time this year, someone has stolen actor Charlie Sheen's car and driven it off Mulholland Drive.

A passerby called police at 2:53 a.m. Tuesday to report a car had been driven off a cliff in the 13300 block of Mulholland Drive, said Los Angeles Police Officer Carlos Amaya.

Firefighters found the silver 2010 Mercedes-Benz at the foot of a cliff but did not find a driver or passengers inside or nearby.

Police traced the license plate number to Sheen. They went to his home a few miles away in Sherman Oaks, where the actor said he wasn't aware his vehicle was missing and said he had last seen the car in his driveway at 4 p.m.

It's the latest episode in a spate of troubles for Sheen, who has starred in the television comedy "Two and a Half Men" and the films "Platoon" and "Wall Street."

In a strikingly similar incident Feb. 5, someone stole Sheen's 2009 Mercedes-Benz, which was parked in his open garage with the keys inside, and crashed it into a ravine on Mulholland Drive.

A few days later, Sheen was charged with assault for a Christmas Day incident in Aspen, Colo., in which he allegedly held a knife to his wife's throat.

Police don't have any leads on who stole Sheen's car on Tuesday, but have towed it to their facility to dust it for fingerprints

next time they will find him behind the wheel, DEAD!

Find one set of prints, those of the driver, Sheen's.

yeah, right. The guy is a drunk. Crashed his car and ran away & breported it stolen. Was he drunk when the cops went to his home?

Sounds like he's being very careless with the company he keeps.

This is how Charlie gets his jollies. Late at night when your frustrated with life. Just throw your car off a cliff.

I hate it when my Mercedes ends up in a ravine.

Can't he just trade them in like most people? Geez.

;-}

Fingerprints go untested at Sheriff's Department: Did cuts go too far? »

The story on the same LA Times page today, about normal people (read: Ordinary, not RICH people) after burglaries at their homes and businesses, who can't catch a break, have to wait for the Sheriff's Department for weeks or months to "show up" and dust for prints after break-ins, but:

Celebrities and Mercedes Benz crashes get *Immediate attention* -- even for the *second time* in 3 months he or someone who doesn't like him takes his car *with the keys left inside* and pushes it over a cliff near his home -- obviously NOT a "theft" or they would go farther than a few blocks and exhibit hostility by shoving it over the side -- The Sheriffs all show up, pull the car up, dust for prints, go see the TV star ASAP -- why?

Why can't ordinary citizens also get help? HUH? HAH!!!
WHY?

Is there a Sheen double?

Sounds like a personal vendetta.
He would have injuries if he had been driving it.

If I were a car thief and stole a Benz, it would be at the chop shop or taken down to Mexico. No Benz thief would drive it off a cliff. These cars are very difficult to steal without a tow truck.

I think old Chuck was behind the wheel on this one, once again.

Bwahahahaha!

Sounds like he's got that scam down pat.

Um, maybe he should stop leaving the keys inside his car? Charlie Sheen is one of my neighbors and I really have wondered why his property isn't more secure. I would never think of leaving my keys in my car, not even in an area like this.

Fooled us once, Charlie Sheen, shame on you...

This guy is out of hand. How do you not know your car was stolen? He was driving it, crashed it and ran. It is too similar to what happened a few months ago. Sheen should be monitored by his family before he harms someone during these driving excursions

Find prints??? On a textured, vinyl steerring wheel?? Bob, turn OFF C.S.I....now.

It looks like somebody isn't not happy about Charlie Sheen working with Alex Jones on a 911 Truth video over youtube addressed to President Obama! 2 cars in a row mysteriously driven down cliffs! I am not a detective by the signs are all pointing down the same road! That road being to shut up about 911 Truth. I support Sheen...

This is front pagehy? Who cares?

Gees, Charlie, my heart goes out to you guy...two cars stolen in such a short span of time, both driven over edge of cliff. Theives aren't who they used to be. Time was when thieves knew how to drive. Not anymore. I guess there is a good side in all of this. I bet that thief, the one without a driver's license, would have been injured had he not stolen a Mercedes, a very safe car, by all accounts. Imagine if he had stolen a Yugo and gone over a cliff...The guy would have been seriously injured. Of course, in that event, we would also know who the thief is, but I can't wish harm upon a human being just to find out his identity.

Meanwhile, his local Mercedes dealer is turning cartwheels...

This is sounding more and more suspicious. I sure hope Sheen isn't part of it, he would be foolish if he is.

Good advertising for Mercedes and Charlie Sheen :)

Keeps a good Name for Mercedes for being a safe car, and Charlie is still popular in the Media!!

I do the same with my AMG C63... gets as far as the local paper, and not even my local neighbours are aware of my short time fame :(

But I read on another website, that a Bentley and another car was found shortly a few miles from where Charlie's merc was found and apparently there seems to be a particular thief responsible for this, as the incidence are very similar, and all 3 cars have come from the same neighborhood... go figure!

Dang it, Charlie, I said turn LEFT!

"yeah, right. The guy is a drunk. Crashed his car and ran away & reported it stolen. Was he drunk when the cops went to his home?"

You just hit the nail on the head! I will never see what anyone see in him, I have always wondered how he got jobs. Oh yeah. His dad is Martin Sheen, big deal! No one cares about that old has-been anyways.

Sounds like he is just very careless and the security in this so called "gated community" is not that good. Leaving the car unlocked and the key in the ignition is asking for it to get stolen. It could be one of his own neighbors doing this or one of the security guards, who knows.
