Authorities suspect arson in a small brush fire that broke out early Tuesday morning near Topanga State Park.

The small grass fire was reported at Pacific Coast Highway and Coastline Drive, about a mile east of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, and was extinguished just 12 minutes later, according to Los Angeles County fire officials.

Arson and explosives investigators were dispatched to the scene to determine the cause of the fire, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. Ray Walker.

No injuries or property damage were reported.
