4.4 temblor rattles Riverside County

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck south Riverside County on Saturday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck at 8:09 p.m., about 12 miles southeast of Anza and 29 miles south of Palm Springs.

More than 200 people posted on the Geological Survey's website that they felt the quake -- some as far away as Anaheim and Newport Beach.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
