'Three's Company' actress Joyce DeWitt gets probation in DUI case

Joyce DeWitt

"Three's Company" actress Joyce DeWitt has pleaded no contest in a drunk-driving incident last year.

DeWitt was charged last July with two misdemeanor counts, driving under the influence and driving while having a 0.08% or higher blood alcohol level.

Officials say DeWitt's blood alcohol was .15% at the time of the incident -- which is almost twice the legal limit.

The 61-year-old sitcom actress was arrested after DeWitt drove around a barricade at Pine Avenue and Sierra Street near the city's annual fireworks show.

Witnesses said DeWitt pulled up in a black sports car, parked and staggered toward a police officer standing in uniform next to his motorcycle.

DeWitt's plea means she will pay a $510 fine, according to the Daily Breeze. She also received three years of  probation and will serve in a nine-month alcohol-treatment program.
