Boy attacked by man in abandoned house in San Bernardino County, authorities say

May 27, 2010 |  1:56 pm

San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man for allegedly pulling a boy into an abandoned house in Adelanto, pinning him to the ground and sucking and biting his neck and chest.

Kurt Michael Haase, 30, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 and false imprisonment, according to a sheriff’s report.

The 12-year-old boy told deputies Haase pulled him into the house as he was passing by Saturday night and attacked him. The boy eventually was able to push Haase off him and run out the front door, according to the report.

The boy did not report the attack for two days because Haase allegedly told him he would kill the boy's family if he did so, officials said.

Deputies went to the abandoned house Wednesday and found Haase sleeping. He was booked at West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $1-million bail.
