May 26, 2010 | 10:50 pm
Authorities in Orange County were planning to launch a search Thursday morning for a missing 40-year-old Lake Forest woman.

Salma Husna Banu, known as "Polly," was last seen dropping her children off at home between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday, the Orange County Sheriff's Department said. She said she was going to the store.

Banu was driving a four-door green Ford Excursion, which was found in Rancho Santa Margarita.

She is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds and has brown eyes and short brown hair. She was wearing a purple shirt and blue jeans, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to call authorities at (714) 647-7055.
