Man allegedly injected woman with fatal overdose of narcotics in Hollywood

A man was in custody Monday for allegedly injecting a 21-year-old woman with a fatal dose of narcotics in Hollywood, police said.

Stephen Allbritton, 26, was being held on suspicion of manslaughter in the death of Meagan Ryan, 21, who is believed to have died from an overdose, said Gregory Baek, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Ryan was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.

Allbritton and Ryan were among a group of people at a home in the 1300 block of N. Sycamore Avenue about 10:50 p.m. Sunday when Ryan overdosed, Baek said.

No other details were available.
