Man accused of shooting 'upskirt photo' of girl walking to school in Mission Viejo

The Orange County Sheriff's Department has arrested a man accused of taking an "upskirt photo" of a girl as she was walking to school.

Sheriff's Department officials are expected to release more information on the case later Monday and are investigating whether the suspect is responsible for other incidents.

The incident occurred in Mission Viejo on Friday when a high school girl was walking to school, officials said. It's unclear what kind of camera device the suspect allegedly used. The Sheriff's Department sex crimes unit tracked the suspect to his home and placed him under arrest, officials said.

Officials have not released the name of the suspect but said he's in his 40s. The age of the girl was not released.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff's Department.
