Woman shot after suspect tries to steal her purse in Silver Lake
The Los Angeles Police Department is looking for a suspect who allegedly shot a woman Saturday night in Silver Lake.
The shooting occurred at 2375 Glendale Blvd. around 9:45 p.m. According to the LAPD, the victim, 32, and two other people were walking to their cars when the suspect approached them and tried to steal her purse.
Some type of altercation occurred, and the suspect fired one or two shots. The victim was hit in the arm and rushed to a nearly hospital. Her injury is not life threatening, authorities said.
The suspect fled and is still at large. He was last seen in the Silver Lake area wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.

Another crime committed with a handgun in a city without a conceal carry law. I makes no sense not to allow law-abiding citizens to carry a gun to protect themselves when every criminal in the Southland is armed without regard for the law.

Allowing any civilian to carry a concealed firearm in a densely populated city is a terrible idea.
