Today on PolitiCal: Maldonado takes office; Arizona boycotts gain momentum; Schwarzenegger, Democrats begin war of words

Here are some of the stories we're following today on PolitiCal:

Abel Maldonado, formerly a state senator, was sworn in as the state's 47th lieutenant governor Tuesday, amid partisan bickering between Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Democratic leaders.

Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento) is calling for state leaders to consider a boycott of Arizona in the wake of that state's new immigration policy. 

Former Facebook executive Chris Kelly wrote himself a $4-million check for his race for attorney general. 

Democrats appear poised to kill the nomination of a Schwarzenegger appointee to the state board of education.
