April 19, 2010 |  2:23 pm

A "suspicious package" that led to the evacuation of Patrick Henry Middle School in Granada Hills turned out to be harmless, police said.

The package was discovered about 9 a.m. in the school's administration building at 17340 W. San Jose St.

Students, teachers and staff waited on the athletic field while the Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad examined the device. LAPD officers determined the package was not explosive or harmful and cleared the school about 1 p.m., police said.
