L.A. man pleads no contest to stalking 'Idol' host Ryan Seacrest
A 25-year-old Los Angeles man pleaded no contest Tuesday to felony stalking of "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest.
As part of his plea agreement, Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr., was sent to prison for a 90-day psychiatric evaluation, said Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the L.A. County district attorney’s office.
Uzomah faces up to two years in state prison and is scheduled to return to L.A. County Superior Court June 14 for sentencing. Uzomah was ordered in September to stay away from Seacrest after pleading guilty to attacking Seacrest’s security guard.
He was arrested in October at the E! building in Mid-Wilshire, where Seacrest tapes a daily TV show.
