Wife of televangelist Benny Hinn files for divorce

The wife of faith healer and televangelist Benny Hinn has filed for divorce in Orange County Superior Court.

Suzanne Hinn filed her divorce papers Feb. 1, according to the court website. Her attorney, Sorrell Trope, could not be reached for comment Thursday afternoon.

The couple married in 1979 and have three daughters and a son, according to a biography on posted on the website for Benny Hinn Ministries.

The silver-haired Hinn is one of the world's most financially successful faith healers.

He lives in a multimillon-dollar home near Salt Creek Beach Park in Dana Point. And he has flown around the world in a leased Gulfstream jet to lead his "Miracle Crusades," during which tens of thousands of followers have packed stadiums and auditoriums to hear Hinn preach about the Gospel and God's healing powers.

Hinn has been a pastor for more than 30 years but remains committed to "winning the lost at any cost," his website says.

Hinn's ministries are headquartered in Grapevine, Texas, and operates a television studio in Aliso Viejo.

Thank God because every real christan will know that satan is really at work in the life of pastor but we know that God is always with him. My simple humble question to you that is judging and commenting is, If you were in this situation, how would you want others to treat you ? Understand this man has been a preacher for 30 years, so he must be doing something right, satan is trying so hard to shut him up , because the truth he is preaching. Be careful how you judge, the bible plainly tells us, JUDGE NOT THAT YE BE JUDGED. What Benny has is between he and God. How he choses to live is his business,so are you jealous of what God has given or allowed him to have. I have heard ministers say of it is God's will, it is God's bill. I believe that Benny has been faithful to God , at any cost he has put God first, and God will take care of his own. Until you walk in his shoes, I don,t feel that you have the right to judge him.I personally believe he is a good man, I have never heard anything but truth and the true word of God come from him, and I have been in his services, the power of God was there mightily . I don't think that God would have any part in wrong doing, so before you point a finger at Benny check you own life, HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE, This Jesus said himself . And as far as his divorce, that is just another tactic of satan to tear him down, and to try destroy his witness, but never worry God will restore back to him. Those who are critical of Hinn should ask: " have I prayed for him and his wife of 31 yrs ???

God is a God of reconciliation. But for the grace of God, my beloved and I of 36 years would go the way of some 55% of marriages w/i the church.

I do not know Pastor or Ms. Hinn. I know who initiated the legal action. That is a fact. Nonetheless, let us leave the condemning judgement (krino in the Greek) up to God; let us beware of criticism lest we fall ourselves.

Pray for the Hinn's regardless of your beliefs or mere conjecture regarding what has transpired.

In regards to divorce and christianity, please understand that God does hate divorce and it is not God's best for people. I do believe we get away from the word of God and do our own thing. However, if Benny Hinns wife decides to leave and divorce what is Benny Hinn to do? My husband said he wanted to divorce, I am not in favour of it and I told him I am committed to our marriage, but if he decides to go what am I to do. I cannot keep a person against their will.

I hope this divorce turns nasty and stay's in the press. Would love to hear what goes on inside the multi-million dollar Dana Point home and how Hinn comes up with new strategies to steal from his flock. Maybe the soon to be ex will provide us with some answers.

But if Benny has just a little bit of intelligence, he will bury all this under mounds of paper and confidentiality clauses with the soon-to-be ex so she gets a nice pay out and keeps her yapper closed........to save his own soul.

Benny is a loon for loons, the gullible, the desperate, and the lower-end. That's what makes him so evil--bilking the poor and desperate. 99% of the sick leave his crusades as they came--sick. Alot of his "so-called prophecies" have failed. Benny is deluded himself. He failed his wife and family. Aside from his ministerial corruption and greed--on a global level--simply, as a man, he needs to step down.
