Charges in Michael Jackson death will be filed Monday, prosecutors say

After days of speculation and confusion, L.A. County prosecutors said Friday they will charge Michael Jackson's personal doctor in connection with the pop star's death on Monday.

The announcement came after reports throughout the week that prosecutors would file involuntary manslaughter charges against Dr. Conrad Murray sometime this week.

"Nothing will be filed today in the Michael Jackson death case. A case will be filed on Monday, Feb. 8, at the Airport Court, 11701 S. La Cienega Blvd. Information on charges and the scheduled arraignment at the Airport Court will be released after the case is filed," the district attorney's office said in a statement.

Negotiations between prosecutors and attorneys for Murray to secure his surrender broke down late Thursday.

Having followed this story for months, I will believe it when I see it. And let's hope the charges are reasonable enough to be sustained throughout the proceedings. First do no harm, Dr. Murray.

Today they said that he would be arrested at 1:30 at the LAX Court. Now they say that Monday they will file charges against him and he is still a free man, I won't be surprised that on Monday they will say that he is going to be arrested in Thursday in Redondo Beach at 7:00am and so on and so on are we a puppets?

I'll bet Murray gets to enough people to get this dropped before the end of the month. He'll probably even pick up the tab for the stipend for Joe (The sponge) Jackson too.

The downtown location that is mentioned is the District Attorney's main office. However, since the incident occurred in the Bel-Air area, the appropriate court to file charges is the Airport courthouse. The Airport courthouse is the courthouse that is closest to where the incident occurred that accepts those type of cases.

Who cares about Michale Jackson, He wanted to DIE and was CRAZY. Who takes those kind of hard drugs and doesn't expect to die. Michale is just as guilty as this guy.

Wow! What is going on here? This death was ruled a homicide in the autopsy months ago. Why does this guy get to determine when/how he is taken in? He needs to be formally charged/ arrested ASAP! Instead he is doing the PR rounds and trying to gain sympathy and sway public opinion. All these shenanigans make the LAPD and the D.A.'s office look incompetent.
