Car owned by actor Charlie Sheen plunges over cliff on Mulholland Drive [Updated]
A car that plunged down the side of Mulholland Drive on Friday morning is owned by actor Charlie Sheen, who reported the vehicle stolen, authorities said.
Sheen called police about 5:15 a.m. to report a possible burglar on the premises of his Sherman Oaks home, said Los Angeles police Officer Bruce Borihanh.
“That’s a hot prowl -- as in, ‘I think there’s someone in my garage,’” Borihanh said.
The car, a Mercedes four-door sedan, was found 300 feet to 400 feet down near the 13300 block of Mulholland Drive in Beverly Crest, said LAPD Det. Bill Bustos.
Police and fire crews found the car badly damaged just after 4 a.m., but no one was found in or around it. A search was ongoing.
Nothing else from Sheen's home was reported stolen, Borihanh said. The Mercedes was likely taken before the burglary was reported, Borihanh said.
[Updated at 8:17 a.m.: A law enforcement source familiar with the investigation says that based on a preliminary review, it appears Sheen’s car was stolen after the actor left it in the open garage with the keys inside.]

This case sounds similar to mine.I made a mistake and left my keys in my car at the store which was Natchez Market in natchez MS. Two 14 year old boys saw the keys in the vehicle took it on a joy ride and total the vehicle. It was a 2005 Nissan Altima teal green beautiful car. I learned my lesson that day but I had State Farm insurance and got me another car. You can't trust anyone today. They are doing just about everything walking all over your property, watching to see when you leave home and come get just about anything you work hard to pay for. Stacey Wright

So Charlie, one of the card carrying California liberals who believes in leveling the income playing field by high taxes, drives a Mercedes sedan. Notice he's not driving a Prius. Yup, yet another example of the glaring hypocrisy of these people.

TMZ sez an OnStar-like service called Charlie at home to notify him that his car was found at the bottom of a ravine. And they say LAFD used an infrared scanner to look for bodies, but none were found.
Like Alice said, this is getting curiouser and curiouser....
It could take years before we find out who was the "real driver." Maybe we start should looking for him wandering on a golf course in Florida...

Ok so my first post was removed by administration.... So much for freedom of speech.
Anyway I too bagged on good ol Charlie and said his story was nothing more than pure BS but since that post was removed I started reading other related stories and it appears that maybe, just maybe Chuck is telling a bit of truth this time, I know it still sounds like BS but check out this artical and perhaps it may make you question this too as I am.

To Theron : I don't think you read my comment properly. He's a celebrity. If you lived here you would know the hundreds of celebrity tour buses that go by his house and other homes every day. There are no laws to protect their addresses. I didn't say it was a common thief either but it could be anyone on a dare. Read it again.

to all of you wonderful people who judged before the facts.. are you all going to apologise to Mr Sheen here?? more facts are coming out and I would love to see an apology from all who bashed without the facts... bwahahahahahahaha who am I kidding?????
I feel sorry for all of your children. My parents taught me to reserve judgement before the facts, and also to not jump to conclusions without any info.

I just have a few questions!!!
At 4 am it is so dark how could the police and firemen find a upside down vehicle 300 to 400 feet down the side of a
mountain in very heavy brush area???? Why was the keys left
inside ? and the garage door left open? and he called at
5:15 am to report a "prowler" was in his garage?
Sorry, I don't belive we are getting the whole story

If this was a cliff as the title reads. Then he wouldn't have driven off a 300 foot cliff and lived drunk or not. There would be blood everywhere if someone was in it. So realistically from the title and what was written someone probably did had a joy ride in the car and hoped it would blow up if they pushed it off the side of the road to hide finger prints. Or he wanted insurance money or payback to his wife.

Hey! Somebody better check the trunk of that car???????

Funny how anything involving Charlie or Apple products draws a zillion postings and speculations, but when your progressive heroes rape the country and your future, you have nothing to say but "Yes we robots can, yes master tell me what to say, yes I'm your sheeple, Messiah". I'm so sick of this American pop culture zombies. Go study economics to vote the progressive bums out, zombies!

All of you skeptics spoke to soon before the story about the second stolen car that was found in the ravine.
Posted by: Jon | February 05, 2010 at 05:49 PM
Charlie was driving home drunk at 2:00 am and crashed the car down the hill. He walked home and reported it "stolen".
Posted by: Maddmax | February 05, 2010 at 06:08 PM
Charlie, come on man...get with it...first ya beat the wife and then you crash your car? Dude, what's happening with you? Get your stuff together and get back to reality.
