A tribute to the landmarks L.A. lost during the '00s
Despite the blossoming of the historic preservation movement in L.A. in the last decade, the city lost some nice architecture all the same.
Curbed LA has a tribute to these lost buildings, including several residences and of course the Ambassador Hotel.
There are also some that are easy to forget, including the old Gilmore Bank building that gave way to the Grove shopping center. And several along the Miracle Mile, including a landmark department store and savings and loan.

Sad to see these buildings go, but the song accompanying this video is downright embarrassing.

I was born and raised in L.A. and this was so sad to see... Each one I saw, I went, "Ohhh and Awww." Just plain sad.. My grandparents lived close by the Gilmore Bank.. Near Farmer's Market-- the original one-- at 3rd and Fairfax.. And this is supposed to be progress????

LA does not care about it's history.
