Police still searching for suspect who stole SUV with a young boy inside

Los Angeles police are still searching for a man who stole an SUV on Wednesday morning out of a Granada Hills driveway with a 4-year-old boy inside.

The mother of the boy had left the vehicle running as she went inside the home to get her infant, police said. As she returned, she saw a man in the driver’s seat backing out of the driveway.

The SUV was outfitted with a location transmitter, which police used to find the vehicle about 30 minutes later a few blocks away, police said. It had been abandoned at an intersection with the boy still inside.

Police have few leads and no description of the man.

NEVER leave your childern alone in a CAR!!!!

Unfortunately this is the world we live in. Mothers need to be vigilant at all times. Criminals are everywhere.

Same thing happened to a neighbor two blocks away in Whittier two years ago. NEVER leave your car running with your most precious irreplaceable thing in your life!!!

The mother needs a little "wakeup call" on child endangerment...we are not in Kansas anymore!
