Former Glendora police officer sentenced in grand theft, drug possession case

A former Glendora police officer pleaded no contest today to grand theft and possessing methamphetamine.

Timothy Radogna, 34, was sentenced to 180 days in county jail and three years of probation and ordered to complete a 24-month drug rehabilitation program, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

He could have received a maximum term of nine years and eight months in state prison.

Radogna was arrested in May after he was accused of stealing hundreds of dollars from the Glendora Police Department and possessing drugs.

Radgona was also ordered to repay $500 to the department, authorities said.

This is a sad day in our judicial system when a sworn police officer who is both a kleptomaniac and drug dealer if not user is given a little slap on the wrist for actions that require a stiff sentence. The message bieng sent out with this type of verdict is that we have a double standard.Average Joe citizen would have harsh and approbriate sentencing. But this man gets off laughing,we all know we have murders, rapist and robbers in our police dept.but that is likely not to change as long as the judicial system plays favoritism in its verdicts.

On this subject I can totally aggree, a law enforcement officer found guilty of selling drugs and theft from a law enforcement office should not be set free .
He should endure the very same adult not juvenile verdict any American citizen would face, let me guess after he's served this petty time they intend to reinstate him as a police officer?

He plead guilty to a felony, he can kiss his law enforcement career goodbye.

You all must remember we all make mistakes, and I am sure he is regretful for all the ones he has made and is paying for them.
