Disneyland closing early because of rain; Knotts Berry Farm also closes

Disneyland is closing early today because of rain, and Knott's Berry Farm also shut its doors.

"Sorry, but most of our rides are outside, and that's no fun when the sky is pouring down," officials at Knott's Berry Farm said in a Twitter feed.

Disneyland planned to close at 8 p.m. and Disney's California Adventure at 6 p.m. A spokeswoman  provided the Orange County Register with this statement: “Unfortunately, current weather conditions do not allow us to provide the best possible guest experience."

Rain is expected to continue through the week, and it's unclear what the theme parks plan to do Tuesday.

Hey, what about Universal Studios? I used to work there and they wouldn't close not matter HOW much rain there was and how messerable their guests were. Free coffee and hot choclate were not enough!

"current weather conditions do not allow us to provide the best possible guest experience". No Disneyland is much more fun when it's 90 degrees and the park is crammed with 1 million people when it's designed to hold 500,000, lines are an hour and a half, and the best rides are closed even though they jacked you for full price entry.

The previous post was hilarious and SO true. We're going to Disneyland BECAUSE there is rain so we don't have to deal with the "cattle" in an overcrowded park. I hope they keep it open on Saturday.

I'm a Cast-Member of Disneyland Paris (France) and today it's snowing, freezing, raining... and everything is still open and operating, even parades are still on... I'm really jealous of our Californian colleagues :-)
