Officials identify shooting victim at Barona gaming commission office in San Diego County

The Barona gaming commission employee killed Tuesday by an ex-employee was identified today as Raymundo Castillas, 43, the commission's executive director.

Donnell Roberts, 38, who was fired in November as an investigator, barged into Castillas' office, ordered three secretaries to leave and then killed Castillas with a shotgun blast before killing himself, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Roberts was a security guard at the casino before becoming an investigator for the commission, which runs the gaming at the casino in rural Lakeside in eastern San Diego County.
