Deputies seeking gunman in fatal Paramount shooting

Authorities today are looking for a gunman who shot and killed a man in Paramount.

The shooting at East 70th Street and Eureka Avenue was reported at 9:56 p.m. Tuesday, said Deputy Aura Sierra of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately clear. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries, Sierra said. His name was being withheld until his family could be notified.
