Military flyovers expected over downtown L.A.

Military aircraft will be conducting flyovers over downtown Los Angeles shortly, and authorities urged people to remain calm.

“There’s nothing crazy going on,” said LAPD Officer Cleon Joseph. “This is nothing to freak out over.”

The aircraft will be taking part in training exercises. It’s unknown when the flyovers will begin or how long they will last.

Saint's preserve it be the end of the world.

Them aliens from outer space are invading today.

Don't pay your property taxes the IRS after today.

This message better get out to all the local news! There's a Lakers game tonight in downtown where people will definitely freak out over about this.

Give me a break...this is as bad as McDonald's having to warn people that "the beverage you are about to enjoy is hot."

In a couple years, it will be troops in the streets and we will be told to not pay any attention to it.

Great. I udnerstand that this is a scheduled training and I won't be alarmed at the flyovers today. However, imaging 2hat they are training for that requires flyovers does alarm me.

The time they tell you not to freak out, is when you're supposed to run! :-)

Seems random that they'd be doing military exercises over downtown LA though...

Ahh!!! The scientists tried to warn us, they tried!! But we didn't believe that climate change could activate the mutant gene in gingers.

Run for your lives!!!!

Maybe a bomb will accidentally fall out and hit tony vilar.

We will be saved!

Please notify them of Goldman Sachs locations in case they need to crash into something.

Why not announce it a couple of days beforehand..an hour before they do it warns no one.

Oh,I can't believe this...

omg military aircraft just flew over, i am calling 911 and reporting it. I am not going to stay calm. I am going to tell everyone to evacuate , omg

They already began: I saw four big Marine heliopters flying south over Encino. Harder to figure; why are the two super scoopers flying with them?

They were just above the 110 and 10 freeways and then hovered, pointed at downtown. I don't see why this had to be done in a major city, in the middle of the day. It was also announced just a few minutes before it happened, which is weird.

Alex Jones was right to tell about goverment conspiracy theory.. the planes and helicopters are sprying biological weapons over the population to reduce population...sprying with swine flu and deadly viruses..

just read and see the infowars

not enough H1N1 cases in the city....time to spread more virus

10 freeway in San Gabriel as the helicopters make their way to Downtown LA.

Oh, please ... it is because of the overly paranoid out there that this stuff has to be announced in the first place. I see helos flying up the coast during weekend outings at least once a month and you don't hear the rich people clogging the phone lines every month.
