Michael Jackson's mother no longer objects to estate executors

An attorney for Katherine Jackson this morning told a judge that the singer’s mother no longer objects to the special administrators of her son’s estate.

The attorney, Adam Streisand, said his client feels it’s “high time” that they move past the conflict and begin to “work together.”

Attorneys for Katherine Jackson had previously indicated she may legally challenge the executors named in the will to manage the estate.

Lawyers have said the singer’s trust includes a provision that cuts out of the will any beneficiary who challenges its validity. Streisand also objected to Joe Jackson stepping into the fray, arguing that the singer’s father had no standing because he was not named as an heir.

Judge Mitchell Beckloff will hear arguments this afternoon over father Joe Jackson’s involvement.

Joe Jackson's attorneys want the estate to help cover living expenses that exceed $20,000 a month.

Joe Jackson on Monday also filed new court papers claiming that his son believed the executors of his will were defrauding him.

Joe Jackson had a rocky relationship with his son and was not mentioned in the pop star's will.

The estate is already paying Jackson's mother a monthly allowance of $26,000 and an attorney for Joe Jackson, 81, wrote in the Los Angeles County Superior Court filing that the family patriarch was entitled to the "same manner" of support.

Hey Joe, If Michael wanted to bequeath anything to you in his will he would have done so.

It is apparent that Joe's absence from the will was not accidental. However, once the lawyers smelled money...

Get a Job Joe' if Michael wanted to give you money he would have included you in the will. Joe is one pathetic excuse for a father which apparently Michael never considered him to be. A parasite living off his sons talent.

Joe is going to fight to his final breath. Let's hope Branca outlives him.

This pretty much confirms what I suspected from DAY ONE - Joe Jackson was behind the entire Jackson family/executor dispute.

I hope Ol' Joe doesn't get a single solitary penny of MJ's money. Michael wanted his mother taken care of but, he CLEARLY had no intention of providing for his father.

If Joe needs money, he needs to sell another interview or sell another story to the tabloid like he's always done when he's strapped for cash.

MJ paid his father back a hundred times over when he was alive - time to let him RIP and cut the purse strings.

I hope that Joe Jackson doesn't get a penny from MJ's estate. He make me sick.

Easy to understand what Michael Jackson had to put up with on a regular basis. Some lived off his talent while others tried to extort money with court cases. And it goes on - not one day goes by that we don't hear about some claim. Most are just looking for a piece of the cake.
This is the real tragedy of being a huge celebrity like Michael. His will provides for his three children, other kids in the family mentioned (all in all 9), his mother and for the estate lawyers (which get their fair share, I'm sure). It's enough and it should be respected. Most people out there just don't realize how difficult it is for the family to deal with after-death events. (Take it from me; my father was a celebrity himself).
