Man shot and killed in Long Beach

A Los Angeles man was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in the courtyard of a Long Beach apartment complex, police said today.

Detectives are investigating the slaying of Comontray Lenoir, 24, as a gang-related crime, the Long Beach Police Department said.

Lenoir's body was found at the complex in the 2700 block of East 57th Street after officers responded to reports of a shooting about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Lenoir had been shot in the torso and upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to call Dets. William Matsubara and Todd Johnson at (562) 570-7244.
