The Los Angeles Police Department plans to hold a news conference this morning to ask for the public's help in  finding a man who tortured and poured acid on a woman’s face before raping her on Halloween night.

Investigators will release a photograph of a suspect in the case and a description of the vehicle he allegedly used in the South L.A. attack. The news conference begins at 11 a.m. at the LAPD’s Southwest Division headquarters.

Police are trying to find out if there were any additional victims, although they believe the incident was an isolated attack.
