Possible bomb threat closes Wilshire boulevard in Santa Monica

Wilshire Boulevard at Fifth Street in Santa Monica has been closed this morning to traffic and pedestrians because of a possible bomb threat, authorities said.

Officials with the Santa Monica Police Department would not comment on whether the threat was on the street or in a building.

“The incident is still being investigated,” said a police official, who refused to give his name. “No further information is available.”
