Two Highland Park neighbors killed in knife fight

October 31, 2009 | 10:53 am

Two Highland Park neighbors are dead after a late-night argument turned into a knife fight, police said today.

Two men in their mid-30s had been drinking, and about 3 a.m. a dispute turned physical and one of the men stabbed the other with a knife, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The survivor went back to his house on the 100 block of East Avenue 45. A third man, believed to be a friend of the victim, stabbed the first man in an apparent revenge killing, Eisenman said.

The third man is still at large. The identities of the three have not been released.
