Police arrest man for stalking Ryan Seacrest [Updated]

ChidiUzomah A 25-year-old man was arrested earlier today and accused of  stalking TV and radio host Ryan Seacrest, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

According to the police, Chidi Uzomah attempted to walk into Seacrest's office on Wilshire Blvd. around 9:30 this morning, when security personnel recognized him as someone who had tried to contact Seacrest before.

The Associated Press reports that attorneys for Seacrest obtained a temporary restraining order against Uzomah later in the day, claiming that he was carrying a knife when he tried to see the host.

[Updated 10:20 p.m.: Lawyers for Seacrest said that a temporary restraining order was served on Uzomah by detectives today, with a hearing on a permanent order scheduled for Nov. 17. Police are pursuing felony stalking charges.]

Uzomah is being held on $150,000 bail.
