Man and woman found dead in apparent murder-suicide in Norwalk
A man and a woman were found dead of gunshot wounds Saturday afternoon in Norwalk, in what authorities believe was a murder-suicide.
Officers responded to a report of assault with a deadly weapon in the 11500 block of Tina Street at 12:50 p.m., said Rick Pedroza, a deputy sheriff. Upon entering the location, sheriff’s deputies found a man and a woman, both dead from gunshot wounds, Pedroza said.
Deputies believe it was a murder-suicide, Pedroza said. A handgun was recovered at the scene.
The woman was identified Sunday as Toni Vazueta, 29, of Norwalk. The man’s identity has not been released, pending notification of his family.

I actually knew the guy and I work with the husband also, I can't saw what company we worked from because it is a very large company in the US. I found out about this on sat when my roommates went to drink at a bar in cerritos and heard the sad story. I really feel very bad about the event.

Is this murder-suicide a sign of the economic times? Lack of coping skills? What ever the reason - it is a sad story. God's speed to the family and friends of these two individuals.

I didn't know them but used 2 see them alot because they were neighbors of my granparents where my kids go often... This story is so sad & I will pray 4 their 3 children and hope their family has the strength to get through this horrible time. I'll never understand why things like this happen but it seems like it is happening more & more these days... God Bless the kids & family!

It is impossible to understand tragedies such as this. I pray to GOD that somehow he gives both families the strength to keep going through such a painful experience, and that time goes by a little faster so the wounds start healing already.

Lori, Tony and family: I am so sorry for your loss of our precious Tenille. Yes I can say I know exactly what you are going through, I really am lost for words but now is the time to try to be strong for you and your grandchildern and the rest of the family, remember god loves us and is always there for us.She is now with our son Joseph Garcia. May they rest in peace. Call me if you need anything. Always John John & Donna Garcia.

Why do people act surprised when something like this happens. Plain and simple only a coward/punk would kill his kids mother and himself or vice versa. Dont sugar coat nothing, he murdered her and took his own life too and who cares what happens to the kids right. I have no sympathy for someone who commits this. A lot of people dont think or love their kids enough. There is no damn reason in this world to me regardless what anyone says to leave your kids without parents. Kill yourself not the other. Whoever wants to say something, go ahead, because only a coward does something like this.

hey ndirish you would be singing a different tune if this happened to someone close to you.....I happened to know this family personally ....they were great friends, I used to think the same way as you, but now all I care is that the kids don't suffer & that they are in god's hands.

there are no word that could decribe the way we feel. Tenielle was a sweet girl and beloved mother, she was always caring and loving. her priority were those children, Ernie was a great dad and loved tony deeply, why he did this? does not matter as there is no reason enough for such act, Ernie and Tony had been stressed about loosing their home, their relationship started feeling stress and without knowing how to cope with it evil taking the best of him this horrible hirrible tragery.
our thoughts and prayers go out to Tonilles family, know tht we loved her greatly as she was too a part of our family, we must keep strong for those little inocent children that will miss their parents greatly as well. i know there are no words that will take our pain away but in moments like this the family union and prayers will give us all stregth. we are thinking of you guys and Tenille and Ernie, may god rest their soul and direct them to the light. i loved toni very vey much she knew that, and i will miss her greatly. we loved Ernie aswell and has shocked us all we will miss him lots.
god bless

Def not a sign of our economic times. Jealous, plotted out rage. I used to see them and their kids often and was shocked to learn how and why this all played out. My heart goes out to their children and will continue to pray for them and their families.

I had the pleasure of knowing Ernie and his family for several years. Living across the street from his mother's house, I not only gained a good friend but his family opened their doors and hearts, to the two scummbags across the street! "I guess the reason I'm posting this comment is because I want everyone to know the person I called my friend!" He was a great father and a loyal and trust worthy friend. He loved Toni dearly and was planning on buying a new home for his family. He was also a funny ass dude with a mustache that poked fun of my roommate every other morning! ("Thamm that was funny!!!") Although I agree with some of you, what he did was a cowardly act!!! Toni did not deserve what happened on that dreadful day.! I know the Ernie I knew, was overtaken by evil and there's no excuse!!
Toni and Ernie.....I miss you guys!! RIP

I've worked with Ernie for years! I cannot imagine what was going thru his head at that time! We would talk & he would share his stress with some of us. We all feel sad that we could not help him reach another solution.
My condolences to his & his wifes family & his Kids! I am a father myself & I cant justify doing something like this! He was a good friend of mine & I will always wish I could have helped him! He Shocked us all! Im not making excuses as Im sure hat there are two Families out ther feeling this pain. But He was a great friend & will be missed!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion & mixed emotions, This is a tragedy! God Bless his Kids & may he take care of them!

I did not know Ernie and Toni, although they only lived around the block from me. I did hear about what happened to them, and it gave me such a sick and sad feeling. I wonder how those that are near us can be filled with such pain, or grief that they don't want to live anymore? I wonder how they can become so empty of love, for themselves, their mates, or their children that they don't want to live anymore? I wonder how, in a single moment, they lost the light of God that is within them, that they don't want to live anymore? I will always wonder why this happens. I'm sorry that it happened to them, and even though were so near me, I never got the chance to say, hello neighbor, have a wonderful day! I pray that all of you that knew them, loved them, cared for them, have put a piece of who they were into your hearts and share them with their children for as long as you can. Your stories and words about who their parents were can have a great impact on who they will become. It will also show their children that God has put a little piece of their mom and dad in us all. They will then know the love of God, and can find forgiveness for their parents, and peace with us, their neighbors. God bless you all, and if you see a strange face in your neighborhood, smile and say hi... it just might be me!
