Man arrested for torching cars in the Valley

A man is being booked this morning for allegedly setting 11 cars on fire with a blowtorch in the San Fernando Valley, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police responded to an arson call at 1:25 a.m. today on the 20500 block of Keswick Street in Canoga Park, said Sgt. Pablo Monterrosa. While police interviewed witnesses who provided a suspect description and possible address, calls of cars set ablaze throughout the city began pouring in to dispatch.

Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of arson, Monterrosa said. His name will be released later today.
