Boy and three dogs killed in Reseda house fire

Fatalfire

Arson investigators are trying to determine the cause of a morning house fire in Reseda that left a 16-year-old boy and his three dogs dead.

Firefighters were dispatched about 2:35 a.m. to a single family home in the 18400 block of Saticoy Street, said Melissa Kelley of the Los Angeles Fire Department. They put the fire out within 13 minutes, she said. Firefighters found the boy in a bedroom. The cause of his death was not immediately known.

"We don't know if he succumbed to the smoke, to the fire, or some kind of illness," Kelley said

An arson team was on scene this morning investigating the cause of the fire.

And where were the parents...I guess saving their life.

I am wondering the same thing.....where were the parents?

I heard that the mom was working. That mean that she is single mom with her son. You people judge too soon.

That's sad, the boy and the dogs.
I do agree with you both though (LDM, Morgan).. Where were the parents?
Were their any smoke alarms, warnings about the fire in the first place? Ihought those are supposed to be able to wake somebody up so things like this don't happen..

All of you (with the exception of Ana Medal) are far too judgmental.

The mother of this kid was working (yes she is a single mother). So she was working at that hour to be able to feed her kid, herself and feed the dogs.

How do you guys think she feels now that she's lost her kid... have some compassion. Do not judge before you know all the facts.

Rip chuckie well allways miss you homie this aint right. you were at your prime. never really got to experience life... rip eddie miller ....... he was scared of fire all his true friend knew that. wen word got out no 1 wanted tu believe he had passed away. but as word got out our school reseda and sane grey were at shock this lil kid was popular alway down. 4 wat ever came his way now hes gone have they delclared what was the cause of the fire ... rip chuckie ////clas kilz ////

I went to school with him, and even though he harrased me and strangled me i still thought he was a great guy and im really gunna miss him. :( RIP Eddie Miller, you will never be forgotten.

Oh man, the last time I saw him was I believe the day before he died. He was in crutches and asking me if I was still scared of him because he did harrass me at times. I said I wasn't and that's all I can remember. RIP Eddie
