Man is arrested in break-ins at homes of 2 actresses

September 17, 2009 |  6:30 pm

A Calabasas man has been arrested by Los Angeles police detectives on suspicion of burglary in connection with break-ins at the Hollywood Hills homes of actresses Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge.

Nicholas Frank Prugo, 18, was arrested without incident Thursday morning by detectives with the LAPD's Hollywood Division. He was being held on $20,000 bail at the Hollywood Division jail.

Prugo, who is unemployed, is believed to be one of three people, including two unidentified women, who entered Lohan's home last month through an unlocked door and ransacked it before leaving with undisclosed property, police said.

Video surveillance showed Prugo at Lohan's home, police said. That footage as well as video from Patridge's home and other evidence led authorities to the suspect, police said.

The investigation is continuing, authorities said
